DC Talks Podcast Weekly - Notes, Phones and AI... Oh My!

Week off after traveling for my 9-5 but right back to the deep news and today is all about Walmart and their new A.I. store. This video is all about context and how having cashiers who understand human context.

I'm not much of a fan of the Amazon Go cashier-less store but this new concept from Walmart sounds much better. Human to human interaction is what makes or breaks businesses. If you don't trust your people and want to replace them with machines, the problem isn't with your employees... Its management.

Next, after much internal debate I pulled the trigger on a mobile device for my increasing travel. This is the normal process for me:

  1. Pick out the most expensive device and slowly talk myself out of it.
  2. Research the hell out of a used device and never purchase

This time there's a third step in which I actually bought a device! For people on a tight budget spending any money is covered in several layers of guilt. It was incredibly important to me to get a device that covered 90% of my usecase which is why I chose this device for mobile gaming, media, podcasts and more...

The Xiomi Redmi Note 7.

Last, is time to talk about the next weekend project and this time I'm talking all about notes apps. Actually, I'm talking about my favorite notes app called Joplin. I lay out why I love Joplin and why I switched to it from Google Keep.
